I'm back with more nonsense about my phone~! haha. I just found a new way to customize the interface of my android phone, and that is through the app called Desktop Visualizer. It basically creates shortcuts or widgets on your home screen which you could customize using your own images. In my case, I got my icons from a cute Naver blog. I also used her Molang wallpaper~ kk so cuuuute! Below are screenies:

After I got bored with that look, I changed the phone background to a screenshot from a music video from Huh Gak entitled, "Whenever You Play that Song (그 노래를 틀때마다)". I just liked this particular scene. There's an air of nostalgia to it. lol. Anyway here are screenies of when I replaced the wallpaper (and added The time, date , and battery level thanks to the Minimalistic Text app (as earlier mentioned here):

*le sigh* That's it for now. Back to life.

Books and Cupcakes @ Bonifacio High Street

After successfully getting through one particular interview and assessment done at McKinley Hill (Fort Bonifacio, Taguig city) earlier today, I decided to reward myself a bit (again) by going to Bonifacio High Street!

Since I was supposed to save money, I just went to three places: Seattle's Best for lunch, Fully Booked, and Sonja's Cupcakes.  I was feeling hungry as a bear, so I ordered a Big Breakfast plate ! lol. Looks like I bit more than I could chew, as I could finish all of my food. What a shame.
(Photo not mine, credit goes here. But this was what I ordered. Too much. lol )
After burping, I then walked into Fully Booked! This branch is the largest bookstore I've been to so far. It has 4 floors, the 3rd of which has a cafe in which you can read in peace. A haven for book lovers.

I was looking for "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky, but,I just could not find it!That was depressing, but anyway, I found a few other interesting books!

This travel book written by Florent Chavoue features cute sketches of the places, people, and daily life in Japan. I love the quirky, witty remarks as well. I would have bought it, but it cost P1050. I can't really splurge right now.
(photo from Fully Booked)

I also found Tim Burton's "The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories." As expected of the director of "Edward Scissorhands," "Sweeney Todd," and "The Corpse Bride," this book has odd little tales about odd little characters. Me likey. But P799 again is too much for me right now.

What I did end up getting was one of these two books--I had to choose just one, so after scanning the contents, I went with the 'original' book, "Keep Calm and Carry On." The phrase was originally from the British propaganda poster during WWII, but now it's on this little book of "advice for the hard times." The other book is, well, a cynical version of it. lol. I'll get it next time.

Then, I headed to the other side of Boni High street, and ordered a box of cupcakes. I've heard about Sonja's Cupcakes on blogs and other websites, but this is my first time to try out their cupcakes. Unfortunately, they got kinda messed up by the time I brought them home. Oops.

Not too bad. And if I'm lucky enough to get hired by this company I'm applying for, then that means I can drop by this place more often!

Just posting a few snapshots of my phone screen~ hehe I got these super cute wallpapers and icons from Ssincheu and Mins' Naver blog I also learned how to use the Minimalistic Text app from the Android Market to put in the Date and Time on my phone screen.

Here are the other cute and cool apps I downloaded on my phone~!
  • Kakaotalk - most useful communication app ever ♥ With it, you can send text, pictures, voice, and even video clips for free over a wifi connection (of course, data charges would apply if you'll use your mobile data plan). The latest version now comes with animated emoticons too~ cute^^
  • Skype - this is for calling for free, over wifi. voice quality is remarkably clear~ though unfortunately I'm unable to use the video calling function since my phone has no front-facing camera. Bummer, I know.
  • Where's my Droid - Neat security app, in case you ever lose or misplace your phone.
  • Camera 360 Ultimate - Better than the default camera app. This one has all the neat filters and effects.
  • PhotoWonder - This photo-editing app allows you to add filters, stickers, frames, and text to your photos
  • Phone Decoration - This is where I could get access to themes and wallpapers for my phone! Fave app haha.
  • Go Launcher Ex - Oh and what would my phone be without Go Launcher? lol This app totally customizes the look and interface of my phone. Also allows for loads of themes to be applied.
  • Go SMS Pro - This one if for customizing my SMS inbox. Also allows me to schedule SMS, add numbers to a blocked list (for SPAM messages I get from a certain company grr), and save my favorites^^
  • To Do List - does what it says. I need this on one of my screens because I'm quite forgetful. lol
  • FLiP - Music player widget. It's the one on my home screen. Very useful, and customizable with themes. What I like about it is that it has only a very small file size, as compared to other music players.
  • Slice It - Uber cute game^^
  • Surviving High School - I like this role-playing game^^

That's it for now~ I might update this post later~

Valentine's Day + Etude House's Skin Malgeum Review

Single Awareness Day -- also known as Valentine's day.  LOL. (image source: mootiness)

It was a bit nauseating seeing all the lovey-dovey couples on that day, but I shrugged the feeling off. Valentine's day has never been a big deal for me. This year, I just decided to use the day as an excuse to stuff myself with sweets hehe. I went to Tous les Jours, that lovely Korean bakery and cake shop, and brought myself one of those mocha rolls, and a couple of chocolate chip cupcakes. Both were oh-so-yummy, and well-worth the price! Also, I got their special V-day freebie!

Heart-shaped cookies! How cute! ^^

I also went to Etude House, because I knew they also had a Valentine's Promo going on, but unfortunately, the free rose that should come as GWP twas not available yet.argh. Anyway, I still bought one of their latest products, the Skin Malgeum

What it is: According to Etude House, it is "a line of hypoallergenic toners that promote clear and pure complexion with moisturizing and pore cleansing formulas." The packaging also mentions that "맑음 or malgeum is the Korean word for "cleanliness, clarity, and pureness."

Pros: I would say that it does its job well, and after using the product, my skin feels smooth and soft. It also leaves the face feeling fresher and cooler. I also like the mild lemon scent.

Cons: I wish it came in a smaller bottle, as I just wanted to try it out first. But it only comes in 250 ml, for P678.

Would I repurchase?: Probably, but not anytime soon, as it looks like this will last me quite a while :)

Rating:  ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆

Happy V-day ^^ ♡ kk

According to the Philippine Star,
MV Logos Hope will open to the public at Pier 15, Berth 4, South Harbor from Feb. 17 until March 13. Opening hours are from 10 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 1 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. on Sundays; the ship will be closed on Mondays. Tickets cost P20; children under 12 are allowed for free, but must be accompanied by an adult.

Yay~♥ The last time I've been to the floating library ship, better known as the MV Doulos, was in 2007. It's been 5 years! I want to go there again and see what improvements they've made.
