After successfully getting through one particular interview and assessment done at McKinley Hill (Fort Bonifacio, Taguig city) earlier today, I decided to reward myself a bit (again) by going to Bonifacio High Street!

Since I was supposed to save money, I just went to three places: Seattle's Best for lunch, Fully Booked, and Sonja's Cupcakes.  I was feeling hungry as a bear, so I ordered a Big Breakfast plate ! lol. Looks like I bit more than I could chew, as I could finish all of my food. What a shame.
(Photo not mine, credit goes here. But this was what I ordered. Too much. lol )
After burping, I then walked into Fully Booked! This branch is the largest bookstore I've been to so far. It has 4 floors, the 3rd of which has a cafe in which you can read in peace. A haven for book lovers.

I was looking for "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky, but,I just could not find it!That was depressing, but anyway, I found a few other interesting books!

This travel book written by Florent Chavoue features cute sketches of the places, people, and daily life in Japan. I love the quirky, witty remarks as well. I would have bought it, but it cost P1050. I can't really splurge right now.

I also found Tim Burton's "The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories." As expected of the director of "Edward Scissorhands," "Sweeney Todd," and "The Corpse Bride," this book has odd little tales about odd little characters. Me likey. But P799 again is too much for me right now.

What I did end up getting was one of these two books--I had to choose just one, so after scanning the contents, I went with the 'original' book, "Keep Calm and Carry On." The phrase was originally from the British propaganda poster during WWII, but now it's on this little book of "advice for the hard times." The other book is, well, a cynical version of it. lol. I'll get it next time.

Then, I headed to the other side of Boni High street, and ordered a box of cupcakes. I've heard about Sonja's Cupcakes on blogs and other websites, but this is my first time to try out their cupcakes. Unfortunately, they got kinda messed up by the time I brought them home. Oops.

Not too bad. And if I'm lucky enough to get hired by this company I'm applying for, then that means I can drop by this place more often!
